Employee Spotlight: Shikha Sharma

Shikha Sharma, Co-Founder and Director of Research and Quality Assurance, sat down with us for a quick interview.

Where are you from? Where did you go to school?

I was born and raised in good old New Jersey and have my bachelor’s from Boston University and my master’s from Columbia University, both in Biomedical Engineering.

What is the best part of working for iSolace Inc.?

The best part of iSolace Inc. is the people. We are doing some really impactful work, and I get to learn, grow, and struggle alongside my friends!

Which facet of the company are you most excited to be working on?

I’m excited about launching our new device, Lumos IV, and having an important hand in the strategic marketing and investor recruitment for the company!

How do you define success?

As I’ve gotten older, I have definitely changed my definition of success. At this point in my life, success to me is being able to work on something you enjoy, that can have a positive impact on the world, and being in an environment where you never stop learning and growing. I also find it important to not rely on your work to define your success. Success is also being healthy, happy, and surrounding yourself with good humans.

Favorite invention ever?

My favorite invention is obviously COVIAGE. In addition to its functionality, the device is a labor of love and really signifies innovation during a challenging time. It’s also my first soon to be Patent!
